Pink ladies cancer charity

About this project
This project was set up with the Science Shop at Ulster University and one I am very proud of. I was working with two others on this project and really developed a number of skills such as graphic design, web design and problem solving. They had come to us with a brief, wanting their brand identity changed, A website, a promotional video and a colouring book for their educational programme.

Tutoring in schools 1718 Project

The 1718 Story
Project overview
My role was to develop a graphic novel that would have the contribution of primary school pupils and it was all done for PeaceIV. I was in a group of other ulster students that helped develop this project and we had travelled to two local primary schools where we had learned about the immigration to America that took place from the area in 1718.
We had the start of the story complete on the first lesson and then we had developed it more as a team and we had set rooms up at the university for the pupils such as making different scenes for the novel and also teaching them how to use Photoshop. We also had carried out interviews with them that we turned into a video for the launch day.
This was one of the most exciting projects I have been a part of. As I developed my graphic design, time management, problem solving skills. But I had learned new ones such as teaching.
Key outcomes
- Had made promotional material
- had sold over 1000 copies in the first week of the launch

IMG Global
About this work experience
My role was that of a UMD Changer, I was required to update the live feed with the names of the camera crews. I worked with a headset so that I was able to communicate with the camera crews and we sharing information with NBC. I also had a tablet that allowed me to update the live feed with the information that was constantly changing, a laptop that had all the timetables and information I needed. I was also given a phone to communicate with camera crews.
Overall, this experience was something I will never forget, I learned so much on how a live broadcast on that scale is put together. I developed and gained so many skills such as working under pressure, working in a team, working independently and problem solving.
